Sorcit develops products for Help for Heroes charity

holding

Sorcit – Product Design Company and Sourcing Agent China has been involved in helping soldiers who have been wounded whilst serving abroad in Britain’s current conflicts by developing promotional merchandise for the national charity, Help for Heroes. Sorcit, based in West Bridgford, began working with Help for Heroes when the charity challenged the company to source a better price for a silicone wristband they were already producing.  Sorcit’s design department now produces everything from flip flops, car magnets, boxer shorts, socks, USB memory sticks, cards and puzzles for the charity.

Sorcit is also in the process of manufacturing two packs which have been specially developed for wounded soldiers based in war zones and those returning to the UK.  The ‘Hero Grab Bag’ and a ‘Hero Rucksack’ have been developed to make their lives a little more comfortable during their recuperation time and contain socks, underwear, flip flops, a wash bag and a selection of goodies along with a letter from a school child and a note of support from the bag’s sponsor.

Co-founder and Managing Director, David Fannin, said:  “We wanted to show our admiration and appreciation for servicemen and woman injured during duty. We are really enjoying working with the charity and we thought it would be a great idea to complement the work we do by also pledging a regular donation.  We have now agreed to donate 1% of the sales our products generate back to the charity too.”

Sorcit – Product design development was formed four years ago by David. In order to ensure best prices and product quality, Sorcit also opened a base in China to handle import/export logistics and warehousing two years ago.  David said:  “This has really helped take the hassle out of manufacturing overseas and logistics issues.  Dealing with China can be a potential minefield of obstacles and our clients trust us to take care of everything from choosing a manufacturer to cutting through red tape to get their product shipped to the UK and safely onto the shelf.”

  5. Hey – great blog, just looking around some blogs, seems a really nice platform you are using. I’m currently using Wordpress for a few of my blogs but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
